Deciding on the right tiles for your bathroom project

Tiles are the focus of your bathroom design. Take your time to think about which tiles/designs you want for your project. Take a look at your local showrooms to get a good idea of what is available with regards to shapes, textures, colours etc.

Your budget will have an impact on whether or not you have Porcelain or Ceramic Tiles.

Porcelain tiles tend to be more hardwearing than ceramic tiles. However, this means that sometimes they can more expensive than Ceramic tiles. EDS Solutions will be able to advise you on which option would be best for your project and they are also in a position to source tiles from reputable suppliers at discounted prices.

If you are struggling to establish which colour or type of tiles you want to use in your renovations, take a look at our portfolio of pictures to give you some inspiration.

Electrical Requirements

EDS Solutions offers qualified trademan in Electrical Part P.

What is Part P?

Part P forms part of the Building Regulations. The principle of the Building Regulations is to ensure that consistent standards are applied to the construction of buildings including its structure, fire safety, sound insulation, drainage, ventilation and electrical safety.

The Part P requirement is that:

“Reasonable provision shall be made in the design and installation of electrical installations in order to protect persons operating, maintaining or altering the installations from fire or injury.”

In short, electrical installations must be safe! Part P of the Building Regulations applies to fixed electrical installations in dwellings (including gardens and shared amenities in blocks of flats, and any building that shares its electricity supply with a dwelling).
